The tape is finished with STABILA SPIKES coating, which improves slip resistance on smooth surfaces and during extended measurements. An ergonomic soft-grip handle provides comfortable and secure handling, and the tape can be easily converted for both right-handed and left-handed users.
Variable fastening options are provided by the fold-out SPIKES hook, which includes an integrated nail eyelet and a large, unbreakable plastic ring with a nail notch. This allows the tape to be held securely in place when pulling measurements.
A clever plastic ring simplifies length calculations: simply add 2cm between the zero point and the nail notch, or 5cm between the zero point and the start of the ring. The zero point is positioned at the beginning of the hinge fitting for consistent accuracy.
